Today we will be celebrating Book Week.  The theme for this year’s book week is Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds.   Book week is celebrated annually.  It is an opportunity for books and children to come together.  Schools and libraries use this week to celebrate books, Australian authors and illustrators.  To celebrate Book Week 2021 we will be reading the book Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson. 

“In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf.  One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and pop! – out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.  He started to look for some food”.   

Let’s celebrate Spring together with this classic story – The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  With its colourful pictures and repetitive text children of all ages will enjoy watching the caterpillar as he eats his way through life until he becomes a beautiful butterfly.
