Snap! went Chester by Tania Cox

Bored Chester the crocodile wanted something fun to do, so when a fly kept buzzing around his ear, Chester went SNAP!!!  Chester thought this game was so much fun that he decided to snap at the other creatures, until…something went SNAP back at him.

A colourful and engaging picture book to read aloud to your children. The rhythmic and repetitive texts make this book easy to read. The use of bold words in capital letters brings attention to the word, building anticipation, helping children understand that something exciting or important is about to happen – “SNAP” adds a point of excitement, encouraging the reader to emphasise the word loudly. As the word is repeated throughout the book, children begin to anticipate it, sparking memory and engagement.

This book introduces the reader to new animals, different reactions and can open conversations about how our behaviour can affect others around us.

Carer’s Gateway Multicultural Carer’s Peer Support Group – Pemulwuy

EarlyEd is pleased to partner, with the Carer’s Gateway, to bring local carer’s together to meet and share.

👥Who is it for?

Anyone who is a carer.
Young carers, parents, relatives, grandparents, fathers, mothers, neighbours.

What is it for?

This EarlyEd Multicultural In-Person Peer Carer Support group aims to create a supportive and welcoming environment where local carers can connect, share experiences, and build a strong sense of community. It is designed to address the isolation often experienced by carers with multicultural backgrounds, providing them with opportunities to engage with others who understand their challenges and can offer mutual support.

Ducks Away! by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek

A bright and playful story about 5 gorgeous little ducklings and their mother, attempting to cross a bridge, when one by one they fall into the water “Oh no!!!!” With repeating text and rhythm, this story makes it easy for children to follow and predict what will happen next.

Ducks Away offers a delightful interactive experience. It brings excitement and anticipation keeping children engaged and involved in the story.

Children are introduced to many concepts such as counting and sequence of events. They learn about cause and effect, problem solving and working together.

The Greedy Goat by Petr Horacek

When the greedy goat decides she has had enough of eating herbs and grass all day, she takes a walk around the farm to discover the dog’s breakfast, the cat’s milk, the pig’s potato peels and even the farmer’s pants. However, it turns out goat’s adventurous eating makes her quite ill.

The Greedy Goat offers a humorous and engaging way to explore themes like curiosity, consequences and healthy eating habits. The text and bright coloured illustrations make the book easy to follow.

The book encourages the reader to predict what the goat might eat next, to predict how the goat might be feeling after eating the wrong food and it leaves you wondering if the goat really did learn her lesson.
