A SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH A DISABILITY OR DELAY IN THEIR DEVELOPMENT. 

The program includes:  

• individual appointments to understand your child’s needs and 
• group sessions to cover topics to prepare your child for school. 

You will end up with a transition to school plan that will make sure your child is ready, you are ready and your school is ready.  

PROGRAM DETAILS:
The program has 3 components all online: 

1. Individual school transition discussion session:  

During the week of 31 July. 

1. Group Parent Training Sessions:
   Monday evenings 

Aug 7, 14, 21 and 28 

7:00pm–8:30pm 

1. Individual transition planning session: 

During the week of 4 September. 

The 6 Week Parent Online Training sessions will cover:   

• WEEK 1: New environments, new routines, new people! How can I work together with the school to make sure my child settles in well?
• WEEK 2: Online workshop: How do I coordinate my early intervention team to help my child be ready for starting school?
• WEEK 3: Online workshop: Getting ready for the playground and making friends.

Preparing my child. 

• WEEK 4: Online workshop: Ongoing support and communication. Developing a plan with school to make sure my child continues to be supported and learning.
