STARTING SCHOOL PROGRAM 

Are you worried about:   

• the big switch from childcare to school?  
• what happens if your child can’t cope?   
• how will your child join in if they can’t talk?   
• how you can help your child to be accepted at school?  

Children have a smoother start to school if they are ready, school is ready, and their family is ready. This 6 week program will provide you with a toolbox of strategies to help you support your child. 

PROGRAM DETAILS: 

• 4  group sessions online  

Wednesdays 

18, 25 October, 1, 8 November 

7:00pm–8:30pm 

• 1 individual pre-program session in the week starting 9 Oct at a time to suit you. 
• 1 individual follow-up session in the week starting 13 Nov at a time to suit you. 

TOPICS: 

•  Prepare your child for new environments, new routines and new people! 
• Coordinate your early intervention team to help your child be ready. 
• Ready for the playground and making friends. 
• Ongoing support and communication. Develop a plan with the school.
