YAY it’s that time of year again!!! EarlyEd is participating in the ALIA National Simultaneous Storytime to be held on Wednesday, 21st May, 12 pm.  This year, the book we will be reading is called The Truck Cat.

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).  Every year, a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, preschools, child care centres, family homes, bookshops, and many other places around the country.

“Some cats are house cats.

Some are apartment cats.

Some cats live on farms.

Some live in the city.

But Tinka was a truck cat.

Tinka lived everywhere.”

This interactive and supportive storytime session will include singing, dancing, reading, and will provide a follow up activity relating to the story.  During the session, visuals and Key Word Sign will be used.

It is a great opportunity to support your child’s language and literacy development and connect with other children.
